Why Quarantine Prepared Mýa for Music in a Lifetime Movie
At the time they shot this film in Toronto, there was a mandatory two-week quarantine. It was child’s play for Mýa. She used her time wisely.
Because she was singing “new material” written by Phil Giffin, she thought it was an opportunity to prepare. So, Mýa brought some recording equipment and went to work. She recorded all her voices and backgrounds.
Calling it a “really interesting quarantine,” it turned into a normal recording session. It also helps that she likes to record.
In addition, at the time of filming, she already knew the songs by heart. Therefore, she had to focus on her role as Abby.
