Melody’s Echo Chamber shares ‘Norfolk Hotel’ from new album, announces New York and LA shows

Melody’s Echo Chamber go outside unfold, a “lost” album of songs recorded in 2013 that were originally intended for his second album, this Friday. Before it all fell apart, she shared another song. “Norfolk Hotel” is a psychedelic spiral, with Melody’s distinctive high harmonies and a big soaring crash at the end.

“I think this song is the soundtrack to the experience of metamorphosis, those haunting waves and rhythm changes, I remember I wanted the music to transcend those psychedelic choirs of waltz jazz, with showers of bass and spidery drumbeats,” Melody now says. “I guess the crumble of the finale somehow foretold the future field of ruins. The music was naturally recorded as a live duet, as I flourished in my own intuitive guitar playing. A playground of very joyful and infinitely inspiring musical memories. Listen below.

Melody and her band have announced some dates for Spring 2023, playing in London and Paris before flying to the United States to play in Los Angeles (The Lodge Room on 3/30) and Brooklyn (Williamsburg Music Hall on 4/1).
