MONTREAL, June 28, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – For this year’s Canada Day show, Tandem Communication will rock the city to the rhythm of percussion and take on board different musical styles in the Old Port of Montreal. The world is moving again, going places, kissing, dancing. The world is coming together again, and it’s diverse, it’s colorful. And that’s what Canada is celebrating in Montreal it is above all: rhythm and diversity!

To 1:00 p.m.on the Quai de l’Horloge, Montrealers can watch the cannon salute of the Canadian Armed Forces in the presence of officers of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. From 2:00 p.m.on St. Peter’s Squareactivities will be presented by Parks Canadaand the traditional Canada Day Cake will be cut and served.

To 7:30 p.m., time for the evening show. Artists from all walks of life will take to the main stage on Canada Day. Mateo’s Latin music will mingle with Samian’s Anishinabe language, Naomi’s pop sounds will mingle with other pop singers Annie Villeneuve and Marc Dupré, and the sea breezes of Acadia will blow on the folk songs of Joseph Edgar. The rhythm will beat non-stop thanks to the famous Luke Bovin percussionists, and this energy will be supported by the house band, led by William Marchand.

Also through this celebration, our collective memory will be transported to Ukrainebecause from time to time the spectators will be able to hear the melody of the anthem of a country that must not be forgotten. Fireworks will close this unique concert.

In the nation’s capital, live from LeBreton Flats Park, the Canada Day Evening Show will take place at the same time. The show will feature an array of renowned artists. Added to this list, live from other sites through Canadawill be Johnny Reid, Tentilled Artsneon dreams, William Prince and Samian filmed from Montreal. The show will be broadcast on Radio-Canada, ICI TÉLÉ, CBC Television and CBC Gem from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local hour.
