From the start of his career, through hits like “Your Man”, “Would You Go With Me”, “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “All Over Me”, Josh Turner (44 – former native of South Carolina) immersed himself in the history of country music and its iconic figures, according to a statement from Rhythm City.
After all, it was someone who, as a student at Belmont University in Nashville, opened a door to Johnny Cash’s property as a sign that he should knock on the legendary singer’s door and introduce himself. .
Later, as successes came along, along with multiple Grammy, CMA, and ACM nominations, Turner joined the Grand Ole Opry. One of the oldest and most sacred traditions in country music, the Opry once counted Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash and George Jones in its ranks; now, Turner shares membership with heroes like Randy Travis, Alan Jackson and Patty Loveless, plus guest Chris Janson.
For nearly two decades, Turner has been one of country music’s most recognizable voices, selling over 8.5 million units and amassing over 2.5 billion global streams. For more information, visit its website.
