‘Asmani Bhor’, a slice-of-life drama about communal harmony | Bengali Cinema News

The battle for power has remained constant through the generations, and so many movies have been made about it and now Saandip Chowdhury is directing a slice-of-life drama focusing on the same concept. The film titled “Asmani Bhor” will show how the power to overcome hatred and discrimination is spread in the name of religion. People often hide their faces behind pretty masks and stab people ruthlessly to fulfill their religious free will, but in the process they all forget that blood has no religion, it binds us forever. It is the story of a polymorphic Muslim who disguises himself as a Hindu god to earn a living.

“Asmani Bhor” stars Debdut Ghosh, Kinjal Nanda, Pujarni Ghosh as well as Deepak Halder, Amit Saha, Rahul Deb Ghosh, Samir Sutradhar, Madhumita Sengupta, Ananya Paul Bhattacharya and child artist Sourodipto Das in key roles.

Subhadeep Mazumdar and Priyanko Das will score the film’s music, Saurav Banerjee is the DOP. Sharing more details about the film, director Saandip Chowdhury said, “The film also reflects the start of a new dawn for my professional and personal life. I hope audiences can tell the story we have planned for. the last 7 months and after a lot of hard work, all the dreams of the unit members as well as mine are going to come true. We are all looking forward to a fabulous shoot ahead.

The filming of ‘Asmani Bhor’ will start in November and will be shot in and around Murshidabad.
